The Promoter

The promoter is MG Competitions Ltd (trading as “MG Competitions”), referred to as the “Promoter” throughout these terms.

The Competition

2.1. These terms and conditions apply to all competitions hosted on our official website, https://www.mgcompetitions.co.uk (the “Website”) and through the MG Competitions mobile app (the “App”).

2.2. Each entry into a competition via the online entry method (“Online Entry Method”) requires a paid entry fee. Alternatively, you may enter at no cost through the postal method outlined in clause 3.9 (“Postal Entry Method”). Anyone who enters using either route is considered a “Participant” for the purpose of these terms.

2.3. Legal Compliance: By entering a competition, Participants confirm that their participation complies with all laws applicable in their respective countries. It is solely the responsibility of each Participant to ensure compliance with local laws. MG Competitions disclaims liability for any entries made illegally. If you are unsure about your eligibility, we recommend seeking legal guidance before entering.

How to Enter

3.1. Competitions are open from the publication date to the closing date listed on the Website or App (referred to as the “Start Date” and “End Date”). All timings are based on GMT (London time).

3.2. In cases of unforeseen circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, we reserve the right to amend the End Date or correct any errors regarding the Start Date. Any change will be clearly posted on the Website and App, and all Participants will be notified by email.

3.3. Entries must be submitted between the Start Date and the End Date. Any entries submitted outside of this period may be disqualified without a refund. Postal entries received within 72 hours after the End Date may be credited with an equivalent online entry value to use in future competitions.

3.4. Online Entry Instructions:

For Draw-Based Competitions:

• Visit the Website/App and locate the competition.

• Answer the competition question (if applicable) and choose the number of entries.

• Proceed through checkout and complete the payment.

• Receive confirmation of your ticket(s).

For Instant Win Competitions:

• Browse the available Instant Win competitions.

• Select your number of entries.

• Proceed to checkout, submit your form and complete the payment.

• Check your ticket(s) to see if you’ve won instantly.

3.5. Only entries submitted in English will be accepted.

3.6. You’ll receive an email confirming your ticket numbers once your entry is processed.

3.7. MG Competitions is not responsible for failed, delayed, or lost entries due to technical issues, software errors, or any unforeseen failures.

3.8. By creating an account, purchasing an entry, and submitting to a competition, you agree to these terms and enter into a contract with the Promoter.

3.9. Postal Entry Method:

You may enter for free by following these instructions:

(a) Write your entry on a postcard and send it via standard post to:

MG Competitions, 12 Meadow View Lane, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria

(b) Include the following information:

• Full name

• Residential address

• Contact number and email

• The specific competition you’re entering and your answer (if applicable)

(c) For Instant Win Competitions: You must first register for an account on the Website/App. We will credit your account after receiving your postal entry. You must then use the credit to receive your Instant Win ticket.

(d) Incomplete or unreadable entries will be disqualified.

(e) You may send multiple free entries (subject to any entry cap), but each must be sent separately. Bulk entries will count as one.

(f) By submitting a free entry, you confirm your eligibility and agreement to these terms.

(g) We’ll confirm your Draw-Based Competition ticket numbers via email, and for Instant Win, we’ll apply credit equal to the paid entry fee.

(h) All details on your postcard must match your online account. If no account exists, the entry will not be processed.

Winner Selection

For Draw-Based Competitions:

4.1. All valid entries will be entered into a random draw conducted on the End Date (“Draw Date”) to determine the winner(s).

4.2. A spreadsheet listing all names and ticket numbers will be used. For live draws, this list will be shown on-screen. For automated draws, we use the Mersenne Twister algorithm to select the winner(s).

4.3. In case of disruptions, we may re-run the draw using either the same or an alternative random process.

For Instant Win Competitions:

4.4. All Participants will receive a ticket. Winning tickets are pre-selected before the competition goes live using a verifiable random system. End prizes will be awarded using a Draw-Based method.

Draw Procedures

4.5. (a) Live Draws: As long as the draw runs without interruptions and the number drawn has been purchased, the result is valid. If an unsold number is drawn, the process will be repeated until a valid winner is found.

(b) Automated Draws: A random number is generated using the Mersenne Twister algorithm.

5. Entry Eligibility

5.1 Participation is open to individuals aged 18 or over who reside in a country where both entry into the competition and receipt of a prize is legally permitted. The following individuals are excluded from entering:

• (a) Employees of MG Competitions;

• (b) Employees of any partners, affiliates, or suppliers working with MG Competitions on the competition;

• (c) Immediate family members or members of the same household of those listed in (a) or (b).

5.2 By entering, you confirm that you meet all eligibility criteria. MG Competitions may request proof of eligibility. Failure to provide such proof within 21 days of request may result in disqualification and a replacement winner being chosen.

5.3 MG Competitions will not accept entries that are:

• (a) Automatically generated by any computer software;

• (b) Submitted via third parties, syndicates, or agents;

• (c) Incomplete or invalid.

5.4 MG Competitions reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if:

• (a) There is a reasonable belief that the entrant has violated these terms;

• (b) Entries are submitted in coordination with others (e.g., from the same household or under different names) to exploit the system;

• (c) Legal restrictions prevent MG Competitions from running the competition in the entrant’s jurisdiction;

• (d) Fraud, tampering, or other suspicious activity is detected;

• (e) The entrant posts inappropriate or offensive content on any MG Competitions platform.

5.5 Refunds will be issued only in rare cases and solely at the discretion of MG Competitions. No refunds will be made if:

• (a) The entrant is later found ineligible;

• (b) The entrant is disqualified under the terms outlined here.

5.6 Entrants may submit multiple entries up to the stated maximum per person and until the overall competition entry cap is reached.

5.7 Only one registered account is permitted per household.

6. Prize Information

6.1 Details of the prize(s) are clearly described on the relevant competition page of mgcompetitions.com or in our mobile app. All information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time the competition opens.

6.2 If a non-cash prize is unavailable, we reserve the right to offer a prize of equal or higher value. Changes to prize details will be reflected on the website/app as soon as possible.

6.3 MG Competitions does not guarantee the accuracy, condition, or value of any prize and provides no warranties beyond what is stated.

6.4 For vehicle prizes:

• (a) The vehicle will include a valid MOT (if required);

• (b) Insurance is not included — the winner is responsible for securing insurance;

• (c) MG Competitions takes no responsibility after delivery;

• (d) Road tax is not included;

• (e) Winners must ensure they have proper safety gear and use the vehicle responsibly.

6.5 Other non-cash prizes may include additional terms, which will be shown on the competition page.

6.6 If the prize is provided by an external supplier, their details will be shown on the competition page or made available upon request.

6.7 We may offer a cash alternative if:

• (a) The original prize is no longer available;

• (b) Circumstances beyond our control require a substitution.

6.8 Prizes are non-transferable and non-negotiable.

6.9 Any additional costs or expenses associated with claiming or using the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

7. Winner Selection

7.1 All decisions made by MG Competitions regarding winners are final.

7.2 The winner’s name will be announced during a live draw (if applicable).

7.3 We will contact winners using the details provided at entry. Instant win prizes may require the entrant to follow instructions in a confirmation email. Site credit will be automatically applied to the winner’s account.

7.4 If we cannot reach the winner or the prize is unclaimed after 21 days, another eligible winner will be selected using the same draw method. The new winner will also have 21 days to accept the prize.

7.5 For prizes over a certain value, winners must provide valid proof of identity and address that matches the entry details. Failure to verify within 21 days may result in forfeiture, and an alternate winner will be chosen.

7.6 To ensure transparency, major prize winners’ names will be published on the MG Competitions website/app unless you opt out.

7.7 If you wish to remain anonymous, please notify us at [email protected] before the competition ends. However, we may still be legally required to provide winner details to regulatory authorities upon request.

8. Claiming Prizes

8.1 Prizes must be claimed by the winner personally. Collection or delivery details are available on the website or by contacting us.

8.2 If your contact details change, inform us promptly via email. If your information changes within 10 days of the closing date, we may still use your original contact details.

8.3 For cash prizes, funds will be transferred to a bank account in the winner’s name. Verification may be required. If verification fails within 21 days, the prize will be forfeited.

8.4 MG Competitions accepts no responsibility if you fail to claim or are unable to receive your prize.

8.5 For vehicle prizes, transfer of ownership will be completed using the V5 document after the vehicle is handed over.

9. Limitation of Liability

MG Competitions is only responsible for foreseeable loss or damage resulting from a breach of these terms or negligence. We are not liable for unforeseeable issues or indirect losses.

10. Data & Publicity

10.1 By entering, you consent to the use of your personal information for competition administration and communications related to current or future competitions, in line with our Privacy Policy.

10.2 Your entry or content may be used in promotional materials unless you opt out. Refusing publicity does not affect your chance of winning, though we may still need to share your data with regulatory authorities if required.

10.3 You may request removal of your personal data, but this will mean withdrawing from the competition. No refunds will be issued in such cases. To make this request, email us at [email protected].

11. General Terms

11.1 MG Competitions reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The most current version will be published on our website/app.

11.2 If we suspect a breach of these terms, we may disqualify you from current or future competitions.

11.3 We may cancel, suspend, or modify competitions due to circumstances beyond our control. If a competition is cancelled, entry fees will be refunded. Once refunds are issued, we hold no further liability.

11.4 Competitions are not affiliated with or sponsored by Meta, Apple, or Google.

11.5 These terms are governed by the laws of England. You retain any consumer protections afforded by your local laws.

11.6 Any legal claims arising from these terms shall be handled by the courts of England and Wales, unless you reside in the EU, in which case you may use your local courts.

11.7 We recommend printing a copy of these terms for your records.
